Schedule
2 - injury prevention, rehabilitation compensation act 2001
The
main objective of the report is to review the NOHSAC report “The Burden
of Occupational Disease and Injury in New Zealand : Technical Report to
inform the review of Schedule 2 of the Injury Prevention Rehabilitation
Compensation Act 2001 (IPRC Act).
The
review will identify and document:
- The conditions/diseases where the
causal link between exposures to an injury causing agent and the disease
is well established by medical evidence.
- The prevalence of such conditions/diseases
in the community (including work and non work causative factors).
- Reference will also be made to the
list of diseases/conditions contained within ILO Convention 42
The review
will differentiate between new and pre existing diseases/conditions that
are aggravated by work related exposures e.g. asthma.
In
addition the review will include diagnostic criteria where relevant.
